Daniel Windham
Land Planner/Designer
Daniel Windham is GreenPlan’s resident Landscape and Graphic Designer. He received a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from The School of Environment and Design at The University of Georgia in 2005. While at U.G.A he was a member of a small studio that created the Highway 41 Rural Scenic Vision Plan. Upon completion of his degree he began his career with Land Design in Charlotte, North Carolina. Daniel’s primary responsibilities with Land Design included construction development in the multi family sector, community design guidelines, and design charette participation.
In the late summer of 2007 Daniel re-located to Asheville, North Carolina and continued his career with GreenPlan. He currently serves many roles within this firm, including graphic designer for all design guidelines, illustrating comprehensive plans, illustrating vision plans, and illustrating landscape renderings. He is also the project manager for most construction development projects in civic, multi-family residential and urban design projects. Current relative projects he has worked on are the Town of Woodfin Comprehensive Plan, the Town of Jamestown Comprehensive Plan, and the Jamestown Downtown Vision Plan.
Daniel’s current goal is to begin using film/video production as a tool for urban planning participation, public education and feedback. Film is a means of communication in which all people are instinctively drawn to. The culture, regional identity, constraints, potential, and asthetics of a city can be documented to promote the educational, analytical, and design process.
