Francine Delaney New School For Children
January to June 2008
Asheville, NC
Created a campus master plan for the School, preserving existing trees and natural areas while accommodating the needs of the school and the students. Met the goals of teachers, staff, parents and students, a group whose needs and goals were not always compatible. Additionally, we were able to save significant natural areas on the site. |

Summer 2008
Asheville, NC
Preparation of a site plan for a high density residential project. The project's goals were to limit the amount of site disturbed, buffer the existing stream, and meet the requirements of the developer for high-density use. |

Cashiers, NC
Community character study; initial zoning ordinance; design guidelines; updates to zoning ordinance. The initial development ordinance for a resort village in the mountains of Western North Carolina, designed to protect the unique character of the community while permitting appropriate growth and development. |

Zona Village area Master Plan
July 2008 to

Asheville, NC
Created a detailed master plan for a portion of downtown Asheville, located south of the downtown core area between downtown and the Mission Hospital campus. The redevelopment of this underdeveloped area will allow downtown Asheville to expand and to create a connection to the medical campus. |

Jamestown, NC
Creation of a development ordinance including zoning, subdivision regulations and design standards to implement the Town's recently adopted comprehensive plan. The form-based code will ensure sustainable development that is in keeping with the character of the community. |
